William L. Weaver, age 77, of Coal City, IL passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care in Joliet.

He was born on May 2, 1949 in Morgan County, Alabama to William and Wilda (nee Brown) Weaver. He was educated at Falkville High School with the class of 1967. Bill married Marsha K. Hockings on July 22nd, 1994 in Coal City. He worked at Halliburton and was former part owner of EZ Living RV. Bill was a rider in the rodeo for many years. He had a love of cars. A natural born salesman, Bill never met a stranger. He was born with the gift of gab.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marsha; his children, Danielle (Joel Chase) Meyer, Joann (Michael) Weaver, Eric (Amanda) Meyer and William W. Weaver; his seven grandchildren, Jessica and Ava Meyer, Wyatt and Jaycee Chase, David Trae and Demitrie Berry and a great granddaughter, Emma Berry. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Rita Weaver; his brother-in-law, Keith (Tricia) Hockings and his close friends, Johnny Wallace, James “Red” Hill, Petty John and Brian Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Benny Weaver and his grandson, Dalton Meyer.

At Bill’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
