Vera Sue Pavlis, age 93 years, of Coal City, IL. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 1, 1927 in Pennington Gap, Virginia.

She is survived by her sons, John Dennis (Cindy) Pavlis and Scott (Debbie) Pavlis; her grandchildren, Mark (Kim) Pavlis, Jill Pavlis and Carly and Claire Pavlis; and her great-grandchildren, Lukas, Gianna and Sailer Pavlis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Pavlis in 1971 and her grandson Darren Pavlis.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials in Vera Sue's name may be made to the Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL. 60431 or a charity of the donor's choice.

A private family graveside service will be held at Braceville Gardner Cemetery where Vera Sue will be laid to rest with her husband, John.
