Thelma Lucille Dietterick 93 of Coal City, IL and formerly of Bloomsburg Pa, passed away on Friday November 12, 2010 at The Embassy Care Center in Wilmington. She was born on January 15, 1917 in Danville PA to the late John and Elsie Knorr.
Thelma was a member of the Grundy County Seniors, Ladies VFW post 804 in Bloomsburg PA, and The Grace Lutheran Church in Wilmington. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and bingo.
She is survived by five children, Robert (Sandy) Bardo, of Mulligan Collage TN, Shelva Blossom, of Orangeville, PA, Elsie (Irving) Dewald of Coal City, Donald (Grace) Bardo of Berwick PA, and Richard Bardo of Mulligan Collage TN. Grandchildren Vicki Ruk (Jorg Bruening), of Forest Hill MD, Susan Dewald (Tom Marston) of Amelia OH, Brenda (Chris) Collier of Coal City, and Donna (Dave) Dressler of Bloomsburg PA, great-grandchildren, Jason and Amy Ryman, Allie and Chloe Marston, d Ryan and Baylee Collier, and Jon Dressler.
She was preceded in death by her husband Byron Dietterick.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 Am on Thursday November 18, 2010 at The Grace Lutheran Church (907 Luther Drive Wilmington, IL). Pastor Chris Beamsley will officiate. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church. Inurnment will be in Crevling Cemetery in Bloomsburg PA at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family for later disbursement to local charities.
