Sandra M. Calabrese, 68, of Channahon, IL. passed away at her home on Monday, February 26, 2018.

She was born February 28, 1949 in Chicago, IL. to Joseph and Carmella (Mantia) Kadlec. She married John Calabrese on September 2, 1967 in Chicago and together celebrated their 50 ^th wedding anniversary before John passed away in January of this year. They depended on each other for all those years. Sandra was very devoted to her family. She was patient, loving and caring and was also the peace keeper. Not only was she a Mom to her children, but also a friend. She retired from Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL. where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed reading, traveling with friends and especially her grandchildren, computer games and her Bunco group.

Sandra is survived by her daughters Gina Calabrese and Michelle Rolley, both of Coal City, IL., son John J. Calabrese of North Carolina; grandchildren: Joseph, Jacob, Krystle and Garrison; sister Melinda Venditti of Boyton Beach, FL., sisters in law Marie Roppo of Coal City,IL. and Theresa (Dennis) Koegel of Tinley Park, IL.; numerous nieces and nephews and her dog Gypsy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John and her dog, Abby.

As were Sandra's wishes, cremation rites were accorded.

Memorial visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel (corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City, IL.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 2, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. also at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel with Pastor Caleb Counterman officiating.
