Ruth A. Hartman 79 of Coal City passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2012 at The Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. She was born on June 4, 1933 to the late Arthur and Fannie Cush
Ruth was employed as a lab tech at Quantum until her retirement. She was a Member of The Coal City United Methodist Church, also member of The Coal City Lions Club and Prairie State Women's Club since 1977, serving as past president, vice president, and treasurer of both.
She is survived by four children; Annette (Raymond) Pellens of Gardner, Marlin (Adrienne) Hartman of Minooka, Rex Hartman of Coal City, and Denise Hartman Joyce of Coal City, five grandchildren; Memory Joyce of Coal City, Lauren (Jon) Bivens of Minooka, Samantha Pellens of Gardner, Stephany (Sean) Wojtczak of Morris, and Taylor Hartman of Minooka,and three great-grandchildren Eli Bivens, Raif and Adehlia Rivera.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert L. Hartman and a brother Robert Cush .
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday December 22, 2012, at The Ferrari Funeral Chapel (1044 Ferrari Drive) in Coal City. Reverend Lora Zink and Dr. Thomas Logsdon of The Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate.
