Ruth Greenan 88, of Coal City passed away on Thursday June 3, 2010 at her home. She was born in Ornaga IL, on May 02, 1922 to the late William and Minnie Hubler.

She worked at The Elwood Arsenal and as a nurse's aid until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two grandchildren Julia (James) McCord, and Samuel McSpadden Jr. eight great grandchildren Kim (Mike) Pacione, Kristin (Mike) Barrett, Sam McSpadden III, Christopher (Brandi) McSpadden, Mike (Juli Cruz) McSpadden, Kyle McSpadden, Krista Castellanos, and Carol Thomas. Nine great great grandchildren , Amber, Adara, Ashden, and Alyssa Barrett, Gabe McSpadden, Faith Hoye, Katerina Starlit, and Triston McSpadden, and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Emil Knott, second husband John Greenan, daughter Shirley McSpadden, 10 sisters and 6 brothers.

Cremation Rites will be accorded.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 5, 2010 at The Ferrari Funeral Chapel in Coal City; Reverend Avery Wilson will officiate with inurnment in Braceville Gardner Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City.
