IN LOVING MEMORY OF

December 17, 1931 – January 21, 2024
Rosa Lee Tenn (nee Billingsley), age 92, of Braidwood, Illinois and Sacramento, California, passed away peacefully at Park Pointe Health Care Center in Morris on January 21, 2024.
She was born on December 17, 1931 in Goreville, Illinois to the late Omer and Velma Billingsley (nee Stokes). She was educated in the Goreville, Illinois schools. Rosa married Donald E.Tenn on May 29, 1954 and made their home in Sacramento, California. She was a homemaker in her early years as her boys grew and then later, she was employed at Kmart for 27 years as the lead cashier. At the time of Donald's death on July 5, 1998 she returned to Illinois and made her home in Braidwood.
Rosa was known far and wide to many as "Granny Rose" and lived up to that as she loved every single child that would visit her home and there was never a stranger that entered. She spent most of her time traveling with her beloved husband, Donald, and loved baking cakes for any occasions. Her home was easily spotted during her most loved holiday, Christmas, as she out decorated everyone in the neighborhood.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Janice) and Donald J.; her grandchildren Christopher, Leesha, Madison, Brandin and Erik; her sister Deanna (Don) Ivy; her brother Dale (late Theresa) Billingsley; many great grandchildren and a great -great granddaughter along with many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her niece, Tonya Cavanaugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 44 years Donald E.; her son Robert; her grandson Craig; her sister Winnie (John) Jackson and her brothers, Richard Billingsley, Billy (Nellie) Billingsley and Bobby Billingsley in infancy,
