Robert L. Ferrari, age 74, of Coal City, IL., passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, April 10, 2019, surrounded by his family.

Bob was born January 29, 1945 in Joliet, IL. to Silvio and Madalyn (nee Pohl) Ferrari. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War Era in the United States Navy with the CB's. He married his partner in life, Catherine T. Fioritto, in 1972. He was a retired carpenter with Local #916. Bob was fond of taking rides through the country, checking on the crops. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cathy; two sons, Greg Ferrari and Glenn (Becki) Ferrari, both of Coal City; three grandchildren, Lauren, Ethan and Olivia Ferrari; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter in law, Kim Ferrari.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions in Bob's name may be directed to the Veteran's Assistance Commission of Grundy County (est. 1999) in care of Elton Monson, 117 West Main Street, Morris, IL. 60450 or to the charity the donor's choice.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL. 60416

Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10:00 am, also at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Bradley Schumaker officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
