Ralph H. Brainard Jr., 35 years old, of Pontiac, IL., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 1, 2019.

He was born June 29, 1983 in Morris, IL. to Ralph H. Sr. and Kathleen (nee Schumacher) Brainard. Ralph attended schools in Coal City and Pontiac. He was a manager at the McDonald's in Pontiac. He enjoyed playing video games and listening to music. He was a fan of Nascar racing, Monster Trucks and playing jokes on his siblings. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children.

Ralph is survived by his 5 children: Catalina Bowie, Kathleen Brainard, Kallee Pennington, Everette Brainard and Alissa Brainard; his siblings, Sandra (D.J.) Chapman of Dora, AL., Warren Brainard of Dwight, IL., Jonathan and Alexandria Brainard of Chapin, SC.; and his step-mother Shannon Brainard of Chapin, SC. He is also survived by 3 nieces and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Wyatt Lee Brainard and a brother Michael J. Brainard.

In lieu of flowers, donations directed to Ralph's family would be appreciated.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL. 60416, until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Bradley Schumaker will officiate.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service.
