Paul J. Goley, age 63, of Odell, IL. passed away on Saturday,  February 12, 2022 at the Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

Paul was born on March 30, 1958 in Joliet, IL. to Paul R. and J. Mary (nee Kirby) Goley. He grew up in Coal City and in Arkansas before his family settled in Dwight.  He graduated from Dwight Twp. High School Class of 1976. Paul was employed as a CDL Driver before becoming a member of the IBEW Local 196, retiring in 2021. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and also enjoyed the Arkansas Razorbacks. Paul especially enjoyed time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his mother, J. Mary Goley of Dwight; his two sisters, Tessa (Todd) Hess of Wilmington and Mary "Gi Gi" (the late Steve) Pierard of Coal City; his two brothers, Bart (Angie) Goley of Dwight and Steve (Michele) Goley of Aiken S.C.; nephews and nieces, Brendan (Marianna)  Pierard, Sabrina (Blake Marketti) Pierard, Ben (Nana) Goley, Blair (Ryan) Kodat, Stephanie Goley, Victoria Goley and Katie (Josh) Peters. Also surviving are his great nephews and great niece, Beau, Collins and Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul R. Goley; his brother, Matthew Goley and his nephew, Alex Goley.

A private Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dwight with Father Chris Haake officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood.
