Michael E. Ramme 70, of Diamond, IL passed away on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at his home. He was born on October 17, 1942 in Streator, IL to the late Donald and Edna Ramme.

Mike was a 40 year member of the Coal City Fire Protection District and EMS, Braidwood Mason, Heartland Dancers, Tav Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and previous member of GAVC in Morris. He owned and operated Ramme Buick GMC for many years and was a Chicago Sports fan.

He is survived by his wife Karon Ramme of nearly 50 years; four children Kirk Ramme of Florida, Jodie (Peter) Rock of Wilmington, Michael (Shannon) Ramme II of Diamond, Melisa Smith of Florida,; eight grandchildren Jolynda and Elizabeth Peterson, Alyssa Gramlich, Deaglan, Devereaux, and Sebastian Ramme, Maxine and Samantha Ramme, a sister Donna Sciabbarrasi, a brother in law Jan (Donna) Trantina, a sister in law Lynne Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father in law Virgil and Evelyn Trantina, a brother in law Steve Stewart, and a granddaughter in infancy.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday October 19, 2013 in the Ferrari Funeral Chapel (1044 Ferrari Dr.) in Coal City Pastor Caleb Counterman will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:00pm until the time of service at 6 Pm at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd and Ferrari Dr.) In Coal City.

Memorial contributions in Mike's name may be made to a Hospice of the donor's choice.
