Obituary

Maxine R. Lafferty 93, of Coal City passed away on Thursday December 18, 2008 at The Morris Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1915, in Mazon, IL to the late Ernest E. and Jessie Mae (Hardgrove) Breimer.

She was a graduate of Mazon High School. She Married James A. Lafferty on September 14, 1940 in The Assumption Church in Coal City. She was a homemaker and helped run the family farm. She belonged to the Grundy County Home Extension Group. Maxine will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 68 years. James A Lafferty her daughter Linda (Robert) Stone of Glen Ellyn, IL , two grandchildren Magge Stone of Waitsfield, VT. and Brent Stone of Omaha NE. also survived by two brothers in law Norbert McLuckie and Irvin Lafferty both of Coal City,

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Arlene Herman and Bernice McLuckie, and one brother in infancy.

Cremation Rites will be accorded

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday December 23, 2008 at The Ferrari Funeral Chapel in Coal City Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate with inurnment in Braceville Gardner Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions in Maxine's name may be made to the American cancer Society.
