Martha E. Spiering 93, of Braidwood, IL passed away on Saturday June 4, 2011 at The Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 26, 1917 in Chicago, IL to the late Martin and Elna Christensen.

She is survived by two daughters Arlene J. Dungca, of Coal City, and Cherry L. Vacha of Braidwood, a daughter in Law Veronica G. Latimer, a son in law Charles Hoyt, two step children, Collette (Larry) Piskie, Warren and Georgette Spiering, grandchildren, Cathleen Avila, Jason (Jennifer) Vacha, Timothy J. (Kayla ) Vacha, Joseph(Doreen) Tolbert, Alison D. (James) Rini, Christopher (Chiquita) Locke, 22 great grandchildren, special friends Clyde (Meri Cunning) Byerley, Jan Brown, Christina and Juan Garcia and several other close friends and extrended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred E. Spiering, six children Rosalie Hoyt, Bonnie L. (Richard) Kacpiewicz, William R. Latimer, Larry B. Latimer, Franklin D. Locke, and Sally Latimer, a son in law Richard F. Vacha, a Grandson David A. Dungca.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 7:00 pm in The Ferrari Funeral Chapel (1044 Ferrari Drive) in Coal City, pastor Mark Thompson will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Garden at a later date. Visitation will also be on Friday from 4:00pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm.
