Maris M. Kerr, age 79, of Morris, IL. formerly of Gladstone, MI., passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside.

Born December 29, 1940 in Michigan City, IN. she was the daughter of Harvey and Mildred (Palmateer) Miller. On February 23, 1968 she married Patrick A. Kerr. Together they made their home in Morris until their retirement. Maris was an active member in the First Baptist Women's Bible Study in Morris and an active member in the Grace Church in Gladstone, MI. Maris loved sewing, quilting and craft making. She was an avid NASCAR fan and attended NASCAR races. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be missed.

Maris is survived by her sons, Patrick J. Kerr of TX., Mark (Sharon) Kerr of MI., Rodney (Sharon Allport) Kerr of Joliet and Scott (Penny ) Kerr of Morris; her grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey) Kerr, Kyle Kerr, Sarah Kerr and Blake A. Kerr and her great grandchildren, Preston, Hadlee and Landen. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Ardell Wozniak of Michigan City, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mildred Miller, her sister, Sharon in infancy and her husband, Patrick A. Kerr in 2016 and her son Michael K. Kerr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL. 60416.

A Chapel service will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery, 153 Tilden Ave., Michigan City, IN. 46360.
