Luis Trevino, age 77, of Mazon, IL., passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, May 15, 2020, at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet.

He was born on August 18, 1942 in Grulla, TX. to Guadalupe and Otila Trevino. He married the love of his life, Maria Rodriguez, on September 28, 1965. Together they raised four children and were married 54 years. Luis enjoyed cooking out and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; his daughter Almira Trevino (J.J. Nuesmeyer); his sons, Rudy (Lisa), Eric (Jennifer), and Louie (Tricia); a very special nephew, Ismael (Monica) Villarreal ; his grandchildren, Elijah, Jonah, Avari, Cruz and Emma; his sisters, Melida (Pedro) Zarate and Maria Nela Ortiz and his brothers, Ray and Eligio (Judy) Trevino. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gualalupe and Otila, his brothers, Leo and Lalo and his sister, Guadalupe Villarreal.

Funeral services will be held privately. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in Mazon.
