Karen Kay Scarpaci, 31 of Minooka, Illinois has passed on to heaven on April 22, 2014.
She was born to Lori Graupman and Eric Koenig on October 15, 1982 in Waukegan, Illinois. She was married to James Scarpaci on July 27, 2003 and they lived together in Minooka.
Karen was a stay at home mother, caring for her three children. During this time she was attending courses at Joliet Junior College for Electrical Engineering.
Karen was an avid crochet enthusiast and enjoyed making jewelry in her free time. She was passionate about gardening and in particular, she was most proud of her beautiful roses. Karen was known for her loving heart and willingness to go out of her way to help her family and friends.
Karen is survived by her husband of 11 years, James, and her four children: Nikolas Seth Greenhill, Angelina Heather-Bryanna Scarpaci, Tristan Joseph Salvatore Scarpaci and Patrizia Kay Rose Scarpaci. She is also survived by her grandfather, Joseph Greenhill; her mother, Lori Graupman; her father, Eric Koenig and her brother Christopher Graupman.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26th at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd. and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City.
