June Elizabeth Meece, 92, of Carbon Hill passed away on Thursday December 24, 2009 at Heartland Care Center in Paxton IL. She had been in declining health for the past year. She was born on May 27, 1917 in Springfield, IL to the late Tevie and Mamie (Meadows) Bradshaw.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday December 28, 2009 at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd. and Ferrari Drive) from 4:00-6:00 pm. June is survived by one daughter, Linda (Von) Hewerdine, three sons; Jerry (Mary Trevino), Tom(Terry), and Scott (Claudia) Meece, six grandchildren;
Chris(Debbie) Baldwin and Brent (Melissa) Baldwin, Tim (Kristi) Meece, Craig (Kiedra) Meece, Mark Meece and Katie Meece, as well as great grandchildren Nikki, Brian, Colin, Sarah, Lynnsey, James, and Johnathan.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death in her immediate family by her husband of fifty years, Errit Meece, and one son Bill. Also preceding were her brothers Gene, Bob, Tevie and Paul Bradshaw.

June lived for over fifty years in the same house in Carbon Hill where she raised her family, the focus of her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
