Juanita Kay (Phipps) Eikey, 65 of Coal City, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Juanita was born on August 29, 1950 in Portsmouth, OH. to John Russel and Delena Smith Phipps. She was a member of the National Job Corps before becoming a hair stylist and cosmetologist. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Surviving are her two sons Michael S. (Cheri) Eikey and Robert M. ( Melissa) Eikey; four sisters Wanda Cottrill, Sue Whitley, Patricia Johnston and Diane Lindsay; two brothers Phillip and Joe Phipps; eight grandchildren Trevor, Alyssa, Ben,Tannor,Brittney,and Shawn Eikey, Nicole(Loghan)Smolik and Amanda Rogers and three great-grandchildren Adelie Eikey, Kayson Eikey and Loghan Smolik Jr.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Tara K. Eikey and two brothers Harold and John Phipps.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris with Pastor Caleb Counterman officiating. Ferrari Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.
