Joy A. Gumbs 79 of Coal City passed away on Wednesday March 10, 2010 at The Heritage Manor in Dwight, IL. She was born on March 22, 1930 in Verona, IL to the late Arther and Mary Kodat.

She is survived by her husband John L. Gumbs Sr. A son John L. (Madeline) Gumbs Jr.; three grandchildren Nikki Giordano, Tony Giordano, and Justine Gumbs. A great grand son Cole Thomas Giordano, a sister Phyllis Fioritto, and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Millie Gumbs, a brother Leonard Kodat, and a brother in law Leonard Fioritto.

Visitation will be on Saturday March 13, 2010 from 3:00pm until the time of funeral service of 7:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd. and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City.
