Jonathan Lee Sinkular, age 32, of Manhattan, IL formerly of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 1, 2023 at Trinity Group Home Manhattan House.

He was born on April 1, 1991 in Kankakee, IL to Kimberly S. Sinkular-Kiser. Jonathan grew up in the South Wilmington area. He was a lover of the great outdoors and as a young boy enjoyed fishing with his grandparents. He took pleasure in listening to music, including Taylor Swift as a favorite. He had a collection of stuffed animals that he treasured, even as he grew older. He was a social guy and could be seen visiting with his neighbors frequently. Jonathan also enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, movies and especially Elliot on Law and Order.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Kimberly and William Kiser of Coal City; his grandparents, Raymond and Mary Jane Sinkular of Coal City; his uncle and aunt, Raymond John and Tracy Sinkular of South Wilmington, his aunt and uncle, Julie and Kevin Hibler of Florida and his cousin, Kristin and Tom Logan of Boniare, GA and their children, Gavin and Alyssa; and nieces and nephews, Katie, Kyle and Tucker Basham and Eric, Michelle, Madelyn and Malaya Hall.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carol and Eldred Johnson and his great-grandparents, John and Hazel Vaira.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Funeral services for the family will be privately held at a later date.
