John A. Villani 86, of Coal City, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members Tuesday October 19, 2010 at the home of his daughter and son in law in Coal City.
John was a welder for Acme Steel in Riverdale, IL for 35 years until his retirement. He was a world war II Veteran. John lived most of his life in Chicago, and a few years ago moved to Coal City to be near family.
He is survived by a daughter , Laurel E. (Edward) Bishoff, a son John Joseph (Marsha) Villani, six grandchildren Tim (Anna), Tom (Amanda), Todd (Amanda), Tony, Jennifer, and Vince (Amber), eight great grandchildren Alyssa, Anthony, Cassie, Nicole, Briahnna, Brittnae, Dean, and Craig. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy.
A private memorial was held for him in the home of his daughter Laurel followed by cremation. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no visitation.
