John Leonard "Beans" Biniak, 80 of Coal City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2015
He was born on October 10, 1934 in Chicago to Edward Sr. and Rose (Kieta) Biniak. He attended Chicago area schools. He married Darlene M. Vesely on October 1, 1955 at Good Shepard Church, Chicago. He worked for and retired from the Chicago Fire Department after 30 years of service.
John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Darlene; children: Edward J. (Kerry) Biniak Jr, Cheryl Bare, and Daniel (Debbie) Biniak; 9 grandchildren: Ryan (Kelly) Biniak, Matthew Biniak, Kristen (Bryan) Barrett, Alicia Bare, Jamie (Jay) Jaskiewicz, Jessica Biniak, Joseph Biniak, Michael Biniak and Adam Biniak; and one great grandson, Luke Biniak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Raymond J. Biniak, and his brother Clarence Biniak.
Beans was a member of the Joliet Eagles Club and the Gardner American Legion. He was a life long fisherman, he enjoyed snowmobiling and working on vintage cars.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, from the Ferrari Funeral Chapel 9:00-10:00 a.m. to the Assumption Catholic Church, 245 S. Kankakee St.,Coal City for a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. with Father Robert Noesen officiating. Burial will follow at Braceville/Gardner Cemetery.
