John Dennis "JD" Pavlis, age 75 of Coal City, IL passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet.  He was born in Joliet IL on August 19, 1947 to the late John Harold and Vera Sue Pavlis.

John was a retired fifty year member of Labor's Local 75.  He was a car enthusiast to say the least and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Pavlis; a brother,  Scott (Debbie) Pavlis; brothers and sisters- in- law, Wade (Kathy ) Ritz, Bob (Debbie) Sayers, Jody (Linda) Ritz, and Becky Ritz; nieces and nephews, Mark (Kim)Pavlis, Jill Pavlis, Carly and Claire Pavlis, Chris (Mike) Mullin, Janine (Bruce) Firth, Duane (Amy) Ritz, Bree Sayers, Rob Sayers, Amber (Chad) Cummings and Hayley Ritz. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Darren Pavlis and a brother-in-law Tim Ritz.
