Jewel Julie Reeves (Miller) passed away peacefully in her home on May 4, 2026.

Wife of the late James K. Reeves, mother of Doug (Janis) Reeves, grandmother to Damon, Kaitlyn, and Meghan. Sister to Ernest Miller, aunt to Katherine (Johnathan) Dixon, and great nephew Conner.

Julie was well known in the community for her work in elderly care for many families in Grundy and Will counties and a dedicated member of the Coal City Junior Woman’s Club and later helped form the Prairie State Woman’s Club. Her fundraising efforts with PSWC were always dedicated to veteran’s causes, a cause close to her heart.

She will be dearly missed by numerous family, friends and members of the community.

She is preceded in death by her father, Herman Miller and mother June Miller both of Lombard, IL.

As were Julie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will be hosting a memorial visitation from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL. 60416.
