Janice A. "Jan" Griesemer, age 80 years, of Morris, IL. formerly of Lockport passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Park Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

She was born February 21, 1940 in Knox County, IN. to Arlow T. and Dorothy B. (nee Johnson) Hawkins. She worked as a technician for Tellabs until her retirement. She was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Lemont for more than 40 years before joining Faith Baptist Church in Morris. Janice was a hard working woman who loved her family. She never quit taking care of them, even when tired. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought a smile to her face. She loved visiting with them and seeing all their pictures on Facebook. And, she never met a dog she didn't love.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Ed) Brewer of Lockport and Tammy (John) Anderson of Coal City; her son, Steve (Sharon) Griesemer of Little Rock, AR.; her grandchildren, Andrew (Liz) Brewer, Katie (Matt) Doser, Rachael (Josh) Stash, Wesley (Caitlin) Anderson, Jacob Anderson and Jeremy Anderson; and her great-grandchildren, Emma Brewer, Blaize Stash, Brooklyn Stash and Gabrielle Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlow and Dorothy Hawkins and her brother James Hawkins.

Funeral services will be private with burial at Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
