James G. Haymes, age 64, of Diamond, IL., passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2020, surrounded by his family.

He was born July 13, 1955 in Chicago, IL. to James and Gertrude (nee McCarthy) Haymes. He graduated from Morton East High School in Cicero. Jimmy married Candiss Donato on September 2, 2011 in Plainfield. He retired after many years as a welder and maintenance engineer. Jimmy enjoyed gardening, barbeques and Chicago Style Hot Dogs, especially from Portillo's. He liked a good cup of coffee in the morning and Marlboro Lights. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. Fishing was a favored activity and Jimmy used to dream out loud to his family about buying a boat. He was very handy and spent much of his time updating his home. He was very devoted to his family.

He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Candiss; his sons James P. (Christina Jefferson) Haymes and Daniel S. (fiancée Rachel Kazlauskas) Haymes; his sisters Debbie Babarskas, Carol Ranachowski, Nancy (Joe) Fitzpatrick and Laura (Joe) Hogan; also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gertrude Haymes.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
