James Joseph Cupp, 64 of Coal City and formerly of the Quad Cities area, passed away Thurday afternoon , November 22, 2012 at 3:40 p.m. at Morris Hospital after a long battle with liver cancer.

Jim was born September 3, 1948 the son of James Jarard and Barbara (Stang) Cupp. He married Jody L. Frank on Christmas Eve, 1998.

He is survived by his wife of almost 14 years, Jody, a sister Christine Anderson of Pekin and a brother John S. Cupp of Rock Island. Jim is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim enjoyed spending tme with his furry best friend his cat Cole and his wife Jody. He also enjoyed watching television, the Chicago Bears and classic cars and motorcycles.

According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at : Hodgson Funeral Home, 608 20th Street, Rock Island IL. 61201

Memorials may be made in Jim's name to a cancer charity or hospice of the donor's choice.
