Hector Moses Monbrum, 86 of Coal City. Passed away on September 23, 2010 at The Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 15, 1923 to the late Lawrence and Mary (Capet) Monbrum.

Hector Married the late Shirley (Roy) Monbrum on June 27, 1948 and celebrated 50 + years of marriage together before her passing in July 1998.
He also was a Coal City High School Graduate, an Army Air Force Veteran Serving from April 17, 1943 to April 10, 1946.

He is survived by five children Randy (Jim) Pruitt, Nora (Dick) Moen, Holly (Jim) Skinner, Paul (Cindy) Monbrum and Stacie Walters. Nine grandchildren Ryan (Sherry) Moen, Aaron Pruitt, Morgan (Ryan) Gwillim, Jamie Walters, Ashley Skinner, Kaitlyn Monbrum, Kelsey Skinner, Allie Skinner, and Matt Monbrum, three great grandchildren Tyler, Ashley and Annie Moen, a sister Norma Lazier, and a brother Roger (Darlene) Monbrum, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, in laws Jim and Mary Roy, grandchildren Christina Moen, twins Sarah and Meredith Monbrum, brother Larry (Peggy) Monbrum, and a brother Carl Monbrum.

Cremation rites will be accorded

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday September 27, 2010 at The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church (245 South Kankakee Street Coal City, Il ) Father Robert Noesen will officiate with inurnment in Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
