Gwendolyn L. Vacca, aged 64, of Coal City, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. Born on May 30, 1961, in Joliet Illinois, she was a cherished individual whose kind spirit will be missed by many. Gwen is survived by her dear husband, David M. Vacca  and her loving daughter, Jordyn Vacca; father, Cleve Shain; brother Randy (Cindy) Shain; brother Jeff Shain; sister Melinda (Rey) Solis, and many nieces and nephews.

Gwen is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Shain.

Throughout her life, Gwen exhibited a great appreciation for the beauty of nature, particularly reflected in her love of gardening and watching hummingbirds. A creative soul, Gwen also found joy in crafting, bringing beauty into the world. But perhaps Gwen's greatest joy came from the laughter shared with her family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services on Saturday November 1, 2025.
