George Kurdenok 67, 0f Coal City, IL died Saturday July 25, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He was born in Chicago, IL. On August 29, 1941 to the late John and Elizabeth Kurdenok.

He retired from Com Ed after 25 years of service. US Army Veteran, collector of military items and antiques, also enjoyed fishing and cooking.

He is survived by his two sons Gregory, and Michael (Kristin) Kurdenok both of Coal City, two grandchildren Mathew Kramer Kurdenok, and Owen Michael Kurdenok, a sister Patricia (Wally) Soiya, of Bartlett, IL, brother in law Arthur (Eileen) West of Burr Ridge, Sister in law Roberta (Timothy) Carroll of La Grange, mother in law Dorothy West of Clareedon Hills,

He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Kurdenok, a daughter Larissa Anne Kurdenok, and his parents,

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday July 29, at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral (1121 W. Leavitt St. Chicago, IL 60622, Father John Adamcio will officiate with interment in Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00-9:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services in Coal City and on Wednesday George will lie in state from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church.
