Fredrick (Freddie) Murphey 66, Of Reedsport Oregon and formerly of Coal City , passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2013 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He as born on March 26, 1947 in North Bend, Oregon to the late Fred and Marion Murphey.

Fred was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, wine making, and was a big believer in short cuts. He loved his two dogs pal and Jr. He was employed by Caterpillar for 35+ years until his retirement in 2001 then moving to Reedsport Oregon for the past 12 years.

He is survived by eight children Kelly Tondini, Tracy Evans, Pat Murphey, Erin Burch, Ryan Murphey, Tim (Amy) Murphey, Shannon (Brandon) Male, and Shane Murphey. Twelve grandchildren, seven siblings Carol. (Fred) Sporar, Karen Keigher, D.J. (Rika) Lpikas, Wesley Murphey, Mary Murphey, James Murphey, and Audrey Murphey, and numerous aunts and uncles in Reedsport Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Ginny.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 24,2013 in The Ferrari Funeral Chapel (corner of Spring road and Ferrari Drive) at 10:00 am pastor Caleb Counterman officiating with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Morris, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services (1044 Ferrari Drive) in Coal City.
