Frank D. Spinozzi, 90, of Coal City, IL. passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Morris Hospital.
Frank was born March 11, 1927 in Chicago Heights, IL. to Dominic and Mary (Leonardo) Spinozzi .
Frank served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 in World War II. He traveled all over Europe during his service. He worked for the Army Ammunition Plant Joliet Arsenal and Smith Hardware of Coal City. He loved animals and had several dogs and cats in his life. He fed the birds and the squirrels daily in his yard.
He is survived by his stepchildren Mary Magee-Huth (husband Mark) of Channahon, IL. , William (wife Barbara) Murphy, CA., Timothy (wife Cheryl) Murphy, Towanda, IL., and Patrick (wife Bonnie) Murphy, TX.; four step grandchildren Sean Murphy, Sarra Hinshaw, Mariko Murphy and Paige Magee; and a sister Cecile (husband John) DeSalvo of Bourbonnais, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 38 years, Evelyn Reed Spinozzi, in 2007.

A memorial visitation will be held at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 with a Celebration of Life service being held at 6:30 p.m.
A private family service with military honors will be conducted at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
