Donald L. Reece 85, 0f Coal City passed away on February 7, 2016 at Park Point Healthcare in Morris, IL. He was born on January 24, 1931 to the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Stout) Reece.


Donald was an Army Veteran serving in Korea, retired from commonwealth Edison after 40 years of employment.


He is survived by his wife of 60 years Patricia (Copeland) Reece, three children ; Michael (Kathy) Reece of Freeport IL, Phillip Reece of Coal City, and Penny Reece of Downers Grove, IL . Four grandchildren Stephanie, Craig, Jade, and Zachary; five great grandchildren; Michael, Kadance, Adam, Rowan, and Arianna


Preceded in death by his parents, a brother Eugene, and a sister Wanda.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday February 16,2016 in the Ferrari Funeral Chapel (1044 Ferrari Drive) in Coal City Pastor Vicki Reece will officiate with interment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood with full military honors. Visitation will on Monday February 15, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Dr.) in Coal City.
