Donald William Ragain, age 38, of Coal City and formerly of Wilmington passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 26, 2013. He was born on May 22, 1975, in Kankakee, Illinois.

He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 15 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 150 and employed by "D" Construction. He was an avid Nascar racing fan. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his son, William, and daughter, Zoe ; his loving and devoted companion of several years, Cathy Pettavino; his parents, Larry and Sharon Ragain of Wilmington; siblings, Daniel (Cynthia) Ragain, Denise ( Barney) Castillo, David ( Donna) Ragain, Dawn ( Gary) Baietto, Doreen ( David) Howard, Diane ( Michael) Landry and Debra ( Pete) Moreno; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Miskel & Marge Ragain and Gordon & Loretta Cheney, one aunt, Shirley Sorenson and 2 uncles, Gerald Ragain and Gordon Cheney, Jr.

Preferred memorials may be made to his children's education fund.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, Coal City. Interment will be in Braceville/Gardner Cemetery.
