Donald L. Farmer, age 48, of Coal City, IL. passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 24, 2019.

Donny was born January 16, 1970 in Morris, IL. to James and Joan (nee Thompson) Farmer. He attended elementary school in Braceville then went on to graduate from Gardner South Wilmington High School. He worked as a fork truck driver for DSG Logistics in Des Plaines. He was a member of the Masons. Donny was an accomplished musician who could play any instrument and belonged to several bands. He will be affectionately remembered for having a heart of gold.

He is survived by his sisters, Golda(Albert) Pendergrass, Paula (Peco) Woods, Janette Lanier and Donna Randolph; his brothers, David (Donna) Farmer, Glen (Denise) Farmer, Gary (Diane) Poole and Steve (Phyllis) Poole; Melissa Epach Farmer; his stepdaughters, Emily and Meagen Monbarren; 28 cousins and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Farmer.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL. 60416. A graveside funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at Braceville/Gardner Cemetery with Pastor Karen Fabian officiating.
