David L. Watts, age 57 of Braceville IL. passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2015.
He was born October 17, 1957 in Clinton, IL. to John W. and Dolores (Baughman) Watts. He graduated from Coal City High School and was certified as a diesel mechanic. He married Dawn D. Green on July 4, 1997. He worked for 35 years as an owner/operator truck driver currently leased with R.H. Boelk Truck Lines of Mendota.
David is survived by his loving wife, Dawn; 5 children: Jillian Marie Foster, Carbon Hill; Jacob Lawerence (Lauren) Watts, Dwight; Justin David Watts, Braceville; Michael Alan Foster, Braceville and Melissa Dawn ( Roger) Clark, St. Charles; 8 grandchildren: Samantha Turley Foster, Halie, Kyle and Nathan Foster, Aubrey , Riley and Lilly Watts, and Emma Clark. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather Dolores and Douglas Boswell; a brother John William Watts Jr., St. Louis, Mo., a sister Margaret (Bill) Spear, Morris; father in law Everette (Gayle) Green and step father in law Laverne Kastman and his nieces and nephews: Stephanie Spear, Stefan Dumas, CJ Leenerman, and Connor and Nolan McNames.
He was preceded in death by his father, John William Watts Sr. and his mother in law Janet Kastman.
Memorials may be made in David's name to the donor's choice.
David was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed deer season with his sons. He was a woodworker, made stained glass, was an all around handyman and liked riding his motorcycle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Ferrari Funeral Chapel (corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Drive, Coal City) with Pastor Deborah Percell officiating. Burial will follow at Braceville/Gardner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Ferrari Funeral Services (1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City).
