Daniel J. Hollowell 90 of Coal City passed away on Monday January 23, 2012 at The Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet. He was born on June 21, 1921 in Texarkana, AR to the late James and Isabelle Hollowell.

Daniel was a member of the Coal City VFW and Lions Club. Served in The Army Air Core during WWII and in the Army Reserves for more than 20 years.

He is survived by a daughter Shirley (Randy) Clarke of Coal City, grandsons Chris Clarke of Coal City, and Adam (Kristen) Clarke of Joliet, Great grandchildren Aiden, Abby and AJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 64 years Dorothy Hollowell in 2009.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday January 29, 2012 in The Ferrari Funeral Chapel, pastor Phil West of The Living Church of God will officiate, a funeral lunchon will immediately follow at The Good Table Family Restaurant(Rt 113 and I55 )in Coal City. Visitation will be on Saturday from 5:00pm until 7:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City. Interment will be private.
