Colleen Ann Davidson (nee) Hennessy, 61, of Coal City passed away at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Friday, October 14th 2016. She was born on July 13,1955 to the late Albert and Therese Hennessy.
Colleen graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1976 and was employed by St. Joseph Hospital for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also took great pride in taking care of others. She had a great love for animals, including her two dogs Bella and Chloe.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Jim Davidson; 11 siblings, Michael (Kathie) Hennessy of Joliet, Maureen (Dave) Chrismer of Plainfield, Danny (Wanda) Hennessy of Diamond, Kathleen (John) Miller of Joliet, Dennis Hennessy of Diamond, Timmy (Debbie) Hennessy of Newbury, California, Eileen (Jon) Smith of Coal City, Loreen Benson of Coal City, Shawn (Sandy) Hennessy of Morris, Duffy (Sue) Hennessy of McKinney, Texas, Patrick (Kelly) Hennessy of Coal City, 23 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20th, 2016 at The First Baptist Church in Coal City (4470 E. Route 113). Rev. Edward Howe will officiate. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 from 3:00-8:00p.m. at Ferrari Funeral Services (1044 Ferrari Drive) in Coal City.
