Obituary

Charlotte Marschner, 87 of Morris, passed away on Monday October 21, 2013 at the Morris Hospital.

She was born on October 29, 1925 in Ottawa, the daughter of the late Ward and Charlotte (Ritzius) Ball. Her husband Robert Marschner , whom she wed on August 16, 1951 also preceded her in death.

Charlotte was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years and also served in Amaranths. She has served two terms as the Village clerk for the village of Symerton. Charlotte had worked at the Wilmington High School cafeteria, the Officers Club at the Joliet Arsenal and also had run her own catering service. She enjoyed playing euchre and bingo.

She is survived by her five children, David (Rita) Marschner, Debbie (Mike) Distefano, Dan (Kathy) Marschner, Duane (Joan) Marschner and Dale (Sue) Marschner as well as seventeen grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter in law Kay Marschner, and her dearest friends Pat Learn, Gin Sheldon, and Dot Vandyke.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Private family services will be held at the chapel of Oakwood Cemetery in Ottawa at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Ferrari Funeral Services in Coal City, online guest book available at www.ferrarifuneral.com
