Catherine T. Ferrari, age 78, of Coal City, IL passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

She was born on June 30, 1948 in Joliet, IL to Leonard and Phyllis (nee Kodat) Fioritto. She grew up in Coal City, graduating from Coal City High School class of 1966 and continued to get together for lunch with her classmates. Cathy married her partner in life, Robert L. Ferrari, in 1972. Together they raised two sons. Cathy owned Ferrari Accounting, retiring after 40 years. She was a devoted mom and grandmother.

She is survived by her two sons, Greg Ferrari and Glenn (Becki) Ferrari; her three grandchildren, Lauren (Conner Huston), Ethan and Olivia Ferrari; her siblings, Leonard (the late Maureen) Fioritto, Mary (Jerry Meece) Trevino and Theresa (Richard) Willis; her care taker, Carol Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bob Ferrari; her parents, Phyllis and Leonard Fioritto; and her daughter-in-law, Kim Ferrari.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cathy’s name may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL 60416. Deacon William Dunn will officiate. Burial will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
