Carol Y. Ritz 88, of Diamond, IL passed away on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at The Morris Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1925 to the late Henry and Margaret Giles in Ansley, Nebraska.

Carol enjoyed flowers, especially roses, spending time with her family, and watching TV (Wheel of Fortune and Shark Tank were two of her favorites).

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Warren Ritz, four children; Wade (Kathleen) Ritz of Pea Ridge AR, Cindy (John Dennis) Pavlis of Coal City, Debbie (Robert) Sayers of Jackson MO, and Jody (Linda) Ritz of Coal City, a daughter in law Becky Ritz of Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren; Christine (Mike) Mullin, Duane (Amy) Ritz, Janine (Bruce) Firth, Amber (Chad) Cummings, Bree Sayers, Rob Sayers, and Hayley Ritz; six great grandchildren; Morgan, Maddy Alison, Shelby, Brandon, and Thomas; three sisters, and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a son Tim Ritz, a grandson Darren Pavlis, and nine siblings.

Cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held with inurnment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
