Obituary

Bruce Wayne Kren 62, of Channahon, IL passed away peacefully on March 13, 2011 at The Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, ending his battle with cancer. Born on December 26, 1948 to Celia (Starcevich) and the late Bernard Kren.

Bruce served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Citgo Petroleum Corp. Refinery Lemont, IL after 34 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as fishing, hunting, shooting at the Troy Sportsmen's Club, and working as part of the pit crew for his friends racing team (G&J racing)

He is survived by his wife Sally (Godbee) Kren, two daughters Tracey (Matthew) Kelly of Diamond, IL and Amy (Trevor) Sula of Goose Lake, IL. And three grandchildren; Jordyn, and Jonah Kelly. And Tanner Sula. He was the oldest of three siblings; a brother Barry (Diane) Kren, a sister Sue (Kelly Neal) Kren. He was loved by numerous aunts, uncles' cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 19, 2011 at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd. and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City pastor Ron Taylor will officiate.
