Bonnie Akins, age 70, of Coal City, IL. passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

She was born April 13, 1949 in Minneapolis, Mn. to Dolly Carlson.

Bonnie was a member the Morris Moose. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Shelby, who was the apple of her eye.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Shelby Akins, of Coal City. She is also survived by her nephew, Ron Conley of WI. and many dear friends including John Falkenberg and Rick Springer. She is also survived by her caregivers Paula Spurgeon and Brady English.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kuykendall; her son, Darrin Akins; her mother, Dolly Carlson; two brothers and one sister.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  As Bonnie requested, there will be no services.

Memorials may be made in Bonnie's name to the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

Ferrari Funeral Services of Coal City are in charge of arrangements.
