Blake Mitchell
Dillon
Oct 4, 2005 — Jun 27, 2026
Blake Mitchell Dillon, 20 years, of Coal City, IL suddenly passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Blake was born on October 4, 2005 in Macomb, IL to Laura Chasey and Matthew Dillon. From the moment he was born Blake had an old soul personality and a smile with dimples on both sides that would melt anyone’s heart. Blake’s charm and sense of humor was infectious. Blake was raised in Goose Lake and graduated from Coal City High School in 2024. He recently attended Northwest Lineman College in Denton, TX where he obtained his lineman climbing certification along with several other certifications and his CDL. After graduating lineman school he quickly began work at AT&T as a Premise Technician and was close to starting work as a lineman apprentice.
While growing up Blake enjoyed many sports but really took a liking to wrestling and basketball. He later began to enjoy football and weightlifting. Blake also had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping with his grandparents. He also enjoyed the company of his two German shorthaired pointers, Gatlin and Goose that were like sisters to him. Blake will be remembered for not only his athletic and adventurous side, but also just being a caring, generous and goal-oriented man. Blake had an abundance of friends whom he loved to spend time with, and he also prioritized family time as he was close with many family members as well.
Blake Dillon is survived by his parents, Matthew Dillon and Laura Chasey (John Born) his grandparents, Rev. Larry and Sigred Chasey (nee Allemang), and Dr. Charles and Margaret Dillon (nee Bowden) and his uncles, Leland Chasey (Amber Moortel), Thomas (Nicole) Dillon, and Patrick Dillon as well as many great aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends, and his girlfriend, Mia Valentine.
