Billy Hugh Waldrop, age 91, of Braidwood, IL., formerly of Haleyville, AL. passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

He was born on August 2, 1930 in Haleyville to Roy and Bertha (nee Carter) Waldrop. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his discharge, he went back to his hometown and became a drywall installer. Billy's passion was playing music and he was an excellent guitarist.

He is survived by his children, Doris Waldrop Harrison, Dennis Waldrop, Ron (Laura) Waldrop, John Waldrop and Rachel Waldrop Medrano: his brothers, Ray Waldrop and John Waldrop and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bertha Waldrop; his son, William Waldrop and brother, Homer Waldrop.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville.
