Barbara K. Cooley, age 75, of Coal City, IL passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Morris Hospital.

She was born on January 5, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Bob and Martha (nee Terry) Crain. She grew up in the Skokie area. Barbara married Alan V. Cooley Sr. on September 24, 1972. Together they raised three sons.  Barbara was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Being with her family was the joy of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alan; her sons, Alan V. Cooley Jr. of Lockport; David P. (Stephanie) Cooley of Coal City and Scott W. Cooley of Chicago. Also surviving are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Martha Crain.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services.
