Ann M. Watson (nee Faletti) age 91, of Coal City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2011 with her loving daughters by her side.
Ann was born in Standard City, Illinois on December 07, 1919 and resided in Coal City from the age of seven. She was a graduate of Coal City high school with the graduating class of 1938.
On September 14, 1941, she married Robert M. Watson at Assumption Catholic Church. They were married for 51 years.
Employed by the Royal Blue Store and Atlas Paper Mill during World War II and managed Montgomery Wards Catalogue Agency until her retirement.
Ann was a lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Assumption Church choir. She served as a charter member of the Legion of Mary throughout the years as treasurer, vice president and president. She also was a volunteer at Provena St. Joseph's Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters, Roberta A. Watson of Coal City and Mary E. (Paul) Hewerdine of Jerusalem, Israel, granddaughter, Beth A. Otis of Aurora, Colorado, grandson, Robert J. Spese of Lawton, Oklahoma and several nieces and a nephew.
Preceded in death by her parents John and Dominica (nee Marketti) Faletti, her husband Robert, one sister, Margaret Ann, and three brothers, Lawrence, Thomas, and Joseph Faletti.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother with a heart of gold. Her unconditional love, kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Ann's charity and thoughtful deeds touched many hearts throughout her lifetime. She will be dearly missed and loved forever.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 21, 2011 from Ferrari Funeral Services at 9:30 to The Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church for a 10:00 am mass of Christian burial; Father Robert Noesen will officiate with entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 pm at Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd. and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City. Online guest book available at www.ferrarifuneral.com.
