Alexander Paul Goley, 29 of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Morris.

Alex was born on July 11, 1986 in North Chicago, IL. at the Great Lakes Naval Base to Matthew Goley and Rebecca (Hutchings) Lyons. He was raised in Buford, GA. before later moving to Coal City. He worked in maintenance at Unitech in Morris. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and watching sports especially the Chicago Blackhawks, White Sox and Bears.

He is survived by his three children Lily, Caleb and Isaiah Goley; his mother and stepfather Rebecca and Henry "Cob" Lyons, Coal City; a sister Katie (Josh Peters) Goley, South Wilmington; a nephew Kyle Peters; his grandparents Jim and Cathy Hutchings, Coal City and Mary Goley, Odell, and his best friend Alex Calderon, Coal City. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Matthew L.Goley and his grandfather Paul Goley.

Memorials may be made to the family for his children's education.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Ferrari Funeral Services (the corner of Spring Road and Ferrari Drive, Coal City) with Rev. Bradley Shumaker officiating. Viewing and visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday before the service. Cremation rites will be accorded.
